JOB TITLE:  Licensed Clinical Therapist - Part-time

PROGRAM:  Clinical Counseling

JOB SUMMARY

Responsibilities include provision of therapeutic treatment, including individual, family, child and group therapy. Therapeutic services are offered in settings that include, but are not limited to, outpatient offices, schools and churches within Cooke County, Texas. The capacity to complete therapeutic assessments, assess therapeutic needs, develop, update and review treatment plans, and implement therapeutic treatment modalities in a culturally competent manner is essential. Capacity to complete professional responsibilities in a team focused work environment.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Counseling and Therapy responsibilities.
  2. Provide culturally competent counseling services to clients.
  3. Accurately assess client needs and strengths.
  4. Develop treatment plans with clients.
  5. Prepare progress notes and document client contacts.
  6. Provide crisis phone counseling when necessary.
  7. Provide for safety and confidentiality of clients and staff.
  8. Complete and provide documentation required to maintain program contracts.
  9. Positive representation of Catholic Charities and the Clinical Counseling Program in the community.

Necessary Skills/Experience: 
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited university with 2 years experience in conducting therapy sessions with families and children or a combination of education and experience. • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred. • Preference for licensed therapist: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – State of TX, Licensed Professional Counselor – State of TX (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist – State of TX (LMFT). • Knowledge of and skills related to individual therapy, family therapy, play therapy, group therapy and couples therapy. • Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver’s license and evidence of personal auto liability insurance.
Schedule Requirements: 
This position is part-time, 8-10 hrs per week. It requires some evening hours, and the applicant must be flexible to meet client and program needs. Therapeutic services are offered in settings that include, but are not limited to, outpatient offices, schools and churches within Cooke County, Texas.
