Job Description: 

 

To provide evaluation, consultation, and direct services in the child’s natural environment in the area of developmental services and/or family education

 

To provide parents information, support and assistance in parenting and interacting with their child with developmental delays in order to help their child grow and develop in an optimum manner

 


 

  • Complete ECI 101 and Service Coordination Modules
  • Enroll in the ECI Competency Demonstration System and perform activities and participate in ongoing supervision and mentoring requirements until CDS is complete (must complete within two years of hire date)
  • If assigned Service Coordinator, review all incoming records to ensure that physical exam is current and that any identified needs for additional evaluations or services are addressed by the interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in evaluations, assessments, 6 month reviews, and other meetings concerning assigned children and their families
  • Schedule and participate in Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings as a member of the interdisciplinary team assisting in the development of the plan for each child and family
  • Deliver all services in areas of responsibility, as identified in each child’s IFSP
  • Serve as the resource person in the transition of services from ECI to other appropriate services or local education agency
  • Serve as program liaison with professional associations in the community, as assigned by supervisor
  • Participate in identification of professional growth needs and attend professional meetings, seminars, and other training sessions to meet needs and stay abreast of current innovations and research in Early Childhood Intervention and to maintain EIS credential, maintain documentation of professional growth activities
  • Maintain current Texas driver’s license and auto insurance and travel to provide home or community-based services and to attend professional growth activities and staff meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by EIS Supervisor, ECI Coordinator, and/or Program Director of Administrative Services

 

Travel required (some overnight)
