Job Description:
I am still i need of seven semester missionaries to serve in Tahoe City, CA for the Fall 2010 semester. Three of the positions can be filled by most anyone with a four yr degree. Four of the positions require 12 hrs of early childhood education or Human Development and Family studies type hours. There are other classes that count so call us if you think you are close to these needed classes.
Primary responsibility would be to work w/ our A+ Before/After School ministry (K-6th) or our A+ Preschool ministry (3 &4 yr olds). Between these two ministries we have 90-100 children a day. In both programs, the student would lead Bible stories, learning activities, crafts, educational centers, and games. You must love children and be able to work as a team.
Semester Missionaries are appointed by the North American Mission Board (NAMB). The NAMB provides the student w/ a $300 month honorarium, a $5,000 health ins. policy, and transportation to/from the field. The local field provides housing, food, and local transportation. Semester missionaries work full time in the mission field. You must be a member of a Southern Baptist church to be appointed as a semester missionary. There is one position for a non-Baptist student each semester.

Necessary Skills/Experience:
Most 4-yr degrees and some 2-yr degrees will qualify to work w/ our K-6 program. For preschool positions, each student will need to have 12 semester hrs. of early childhood.
Schedule Requirements:
Ski Ministry- Spring only - Lead worship svcs on ski slopes on Sunday afternoons. Don't need to know how to ski - we will teach you to ski, lead a svc, and provide the necessary clothing and equipment.
My Morning Out - Tuesday 9:00 am - NOON.
Parents' Night Out - Once a month ministry for children birth - 12 yrs. First Friday night each month 6:00-10:00pm.
Ministries of the Schools - Wednesday mornings students volunteer in a local school classroom.
