Career Services looks forward to serving as a partner and  a resource to the outstanding academic colleges, departments and programs of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.  Your Career Resource Partner offers an array of resources designed to compliment every professor, chair, and dean's academic  mission and career learning related outcome goals. In addition, the Career Center team is available to assist  in reference letter samples, as well as  personal and family career related matters.

Class Presentations

Career Services offers a variety of presentations covering various career related topics including Resume Development, Job Search, Business Etiquette, and Successful Interviewing. New and timely topics available include Facebook, My Space, & My Future Employer, Gadget Etiquette, Show Me the Money, and Networking or Not Working to only list a few.  If you are interested in scheduling a presentation for your class, please call (254) 295-4691 or e-mail careerservices@umhb.edu.

Career Center Tours

A Center Tour, which includes an overview of the Career Library and the basic services that we offer, can be scheduled by calling Career Services at (254) 295-4961 or by e-mail.

Resources

We have various resource materials that students can view as a class assignment and/or extra credit. Topics include: professional image, interviewing techniques, resume and cover letter writing, problem solving skills, business etiquette, and many more. If you are going to be out of class one day, don't get a sub.  Let our Absent Professor/Career Planning presentation fill in! We host 8 job fairs a year and strongly request programs to assist CS in encouraging not only seniors, but all students to attend these events. CS does not feel it is ever too early for a student to begin exploring World of Work sources and leads for internships, as well as that first full time position.
